This month, we've focused on managing submissions. Our first update is to enable you to choose whether the subject field is shown on the feedback form.

And because people make types, and sometimes the subject doesn't describe the feedback well, we've also added the ability to update the subject for submissions you've received.

Lastly, you can now archive submissions, which is great for keeping your feedback box focused by removing submissions that have been dealt with from view.

Show or hide the subject field on the feedback form

By default, the first thing respondants are asked for on the feedback form is the subject for their feedback, similar to the subject line in an email.

Sometimes, however the topic of a feedback box will be very specific and it might not be necessary ask for the feedback's subject, so you might want to hide the subject field. Well now you can!

On the settings page for your feedback box, select the Basic Details tab and you'll now see an option to show or hide the subject field.

If you've hidden the subject field on the feedback form, the feedback will appear in the feedback box with [No Subject] in the subject field.

Update a submission's subject

Sometimes the subject field contains typos, or doesn't really reflect the feedback that is provided. When this happens, you can now edit the subject to fix up any problems.

When you're viewing the submission, just click the pencil icon next to the subject.

After a subject has been edited, we'll display an indicator to let people know that it has been changed.

Archive a submission

As you get more feedback, it can get harder to distinguish the submissions you've dealt with from the ones that are still being worked on, so we've now added the option to archive submissions, which will remove them from the main view.

When viewing the submission, click on the 3 dots on the right of the subject line and click Archive. You'll be prompted to make sure that you really want to archive the submission.

Usability improvements

We're always looking at how we can make SavvyIdeas quicker and easier to use. This month we've stayed with the topic of managing submissions and moved the Public Reply option into the sidebar. Previously it was alongside the tabs for Anonymous Conversations and Internal Notes.

We've also tweaked the box settings page, moving the option to display the Anonymity SideBar to the Basic Details tab. Previously it was a separate option in the sidebar, but we felt it made more sense to group all the settings for the feedback form together.
